These original cards
were issued in England by Godfrey Phillips Ltd. in 1939. They are cards
number 1 and 6 and from a set of 36 cards entitled "Famous Love
Scenes". The front of card nr. 1 shows a colour picture of Greta with
Fredric March while the front of card nr. 6 shows a colour picture of Greta
with Robert Taylor. The back of each card has the names, set name, movie
name, card number, studio, trade text and a description of the card front.
These cards were given as a free premium and were inserted into packages of
cigarettes. |
