Margie Schultz's Irene Dunne: A Bio-Bibliography is the first in-depth study of her work. Dunne's multiple careers on stage and in motion pictures, radio, and television are fully detailed in separate chapters, as are her recordings, song sheets, and numerous awards and nominations. Photographs are also included--ranging from her childhood to her last public appearance as a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 1985.

"Irene Dunne: First Lady of Hollywood", by Wes D. Gehring, contains a lot of information about the movies she made and the critical acclaim she received from drama and film critics of the times.
