Divas - The Site appreciates your votes and comments. Here are some of the little gems you chose to share with us.

Doris (USA) on Kay Francis
"Kay Francis had great acting ability; she was intelligent, generous and was not a photo hound although her taste in clothing was remarkable. She not only was a great movie actress, but also a producer and a stage actress.  She was before her time in so many ways which the press at the time did not give her credit for."

Renee (USA) on Kay Francis
"How wonderful to have Ms. Francis added to the legion of Divas! What a classy intelligent, fashionable and  compelling actress she was! Thank you for  reminding the world what a treat she was!"

Barbara (USA) on Kay Francis
"How wonderful if she should become a diva on your site as she really was one when you read about her.  At one point in time, 1937, she was the highest paid movie star in the world, Warner's then got Bette Davis to take her place when Francis was difficult and they wanted to get rid of her, so they put Kay in all kinds of horrible pictures without top billing but she would not let them fire her so she took on every movie they gave her.  Her story is a sad one and I guess I was fascinated by her because she looks so very much (to me) like my mother.  And interesting enough Francis died of the same disease that killed my mother (breast cancer), only my mother was 45 and Francis was 67, both though much too young.  In fact I just read this morning that Sheryl Crow has it and she is only 44."
