This is a sterling silver proof commemorative coin-medal privately struck for the Société Commémorative de Femmes Celèbres (Society Commemorative of Female Celebrities) by the Franklin Mint. Each medal commemorated a famous woman from history, this one being Anna Eleanor Roosevelt.

The obverse of the medal is a portrait. The reverse is a depiction of Eleanor signing the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

The medal measures 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

These are quite rare, as many were melted in the early 1980s when the price of silver soared.
