This is a small
5" diameter dish by Royal Doulton to mark the appointment of Mrs
Margaret Thatcher as the first woman Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
The central design contains a
profile portrait of Mrs Thatcher, set within a laurel wreath design, all
done in royal blue. There is an embossed design to the border of the dish,
and gilding to the outer edges. The
bottom carries the printed trademark for Royal Doulton, England, Bone China. |
