This authentic pass
to a June 21, 1887 event in Brathay measures only 3" x 4 1/2" but
it's a neat item for the collector of Royalty ephemera. It was a fun-filled
day by the sound of it: "During the Afternoon - Wrestling, Leaping,
Racing, and other Games for Prizes." The hole in the bottom left corner
seems to have been deliberately punched with an instrument indicating the
pass was used. The bearer's name appears to be one "Rev. C.W.
Dawson". |
