saved me. I believe that the definition of a diva nowadays is used much too

is much more than that. A diva is a female who has overcome obstacles to

the hardship of being the solitary Jewish girl in a chiefly Polynesian
neighborhood in Hawaii. She overcame the grief of the death of her sister,
Judith. She has risen from singing for fifty dollars a night in Manhattan
nightclubs to being a superstar. If that is not the definition of a diva, then
I don't know what is. I absolutely love Bette Midler. I, being a singer myself, look up to her. I
have ten of her CD's and know the majority of her songs by heart. I would
sincerely give anything to meet her. I would be so happy if Ms. Midler could
read this. Then she would know how much she has changed my life."
