Folktales and their Wisdom

SheherazadeSheherazade ... the sound of her name conjures up images of magic carpets airborne on their way to the mysterious Orient of The Thousand and One Nights.  The legendary heroine has served as guardian of these enchanting, fabulous stories for more than a thousand years. Read more!
Dorothy Rodgers

Dorothy RodgersShe was rich.  She was vastly elegant. Her friends were people like Kitty Carlisle, Slim Hayward, Mary Martin, and Nöel Coward. And the only time she ever admitted to being impressed was the time she was invited to lunch by the Duchess of Windsor. Known to three generations of New York society as Dorothy Rodgers, the former Dorothy Belle Feiner was the wife of composer Richard Rodgers, whose musical comedies with collaborators Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II will always be with us.

WE need YOUR help!

We're still looking for following photographs: Joan Crawford's alleged first husband, Mr James Welton, and Sarah Brightman's first husband, Mr Andrew Graham-Stewart.  Also wanted: photographs of Aretha Franklin and Imelda Marcos of when they were babies! We also need photographs of Oprah's mother, Mrs Vernita Lee, and Imelda's mother, Mrs Remedios Trinidad Romualdez. And finally, photographs of Shirley Bassey's adopted son, Mark, and photographs of Imelda's children.  Please e-mail us!

Highly Huggable Hunks

Vin Diesel"You'll have bad times and he'll have good times, doing things that you don't understand. But if you love him, you'll forgive him, even though he's hard to understand. And if you love him, oh be proud of him, 'cause after all he's JUST A MAN."  (Tammy Wynette)

We've added Vin and Errol to our gallery of
Divos.

Diva Trivia

Cher

Cher was the original choice for the part of Esther in 'A Star is Born'. The part had been all but promised to her, but then Barbra Streisand and her then boyfriend Jon Peters just walked in and took over the project. Cher was embittered by the fact that the project not only had been taken away from her, but that it had been done so by a rock and roll outsider. She declared, "Barbra doesn't know shit about rock and roll."

She Said It

"It is terribly important to do certain things, such as wear overembroidered dresses. After all, the mass follows class. Class never follows mass."
